The best thing is how the campaign system uses its settings effectively. You play as one of the four Roman factions, fighting for the glory of Rome, by placing them in a novel role as a cog in a large machine. The Senate gives you missions that add flavor to the game and provides you with a never-ending stream to accomplish short term goals.
Rome’s vast expedition, a large number of civilizations and a wide variety of variations are enough to keep any gamer occupied by the end of the week. Hats off to Creative Assembly for making one if not the best, a total war game in the series.
